HOW TO MAKE ROCELLE AKA PATING FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU..
1. acknowledge my individuality. let me be eccentric sometimes. allow me to booze my expression in any aspect of art. don't discourage me to wear my favorite polka dots socks and say "muka kang tanga" instead allow me to be "mukang tanga" sometimes. let me wear my favorite dresses even if you think that it doesn't suite me, don't laugh at me when im wearing my big shades and do not ask me to change the color of my hair. let me listen to my favorite songs, let me head bang in the morning and growl at night. let me do my own hair cut and let me exploit my room. let me fight my own battles, do not try to make me change my principles. don't be afraid. im normal.
2. dare to be different. we don't have to be the same. it's ok if you have a separate world from mine. let's have a healthy debate sometimes. let me know your thoughts that differ from mine, then let us argue..let me prove how good my intellect is and prove to me how strong your opinions are,in that way i can learn.. listen to your own type of music, you don't have to pretend that you like those that i am fond of. wear your own type of clothes and stop imitating mine. speak your soul rather than trying to learn mine. let me fall in love with you than falling in love with myself in you.
3. let's play. i am a child at heart and i still do play jackstone, taguan, piko, habulan, pangbatang basketball and many others. let us play volleyball in the rain and pepsi seven up at night. don't let me win, let us enjoy competition. think hard in scrabble and even harder in dugtungan ng kanta. who cares what people might say? let us amuse ourselves with this things and it is a lot better because we're playing together...
4. let me cry while watching movies. i do cry a lot while watching the corniest films. do not be embarassed and do not ask me to stop. crying is my expression of appreciation, if i didn't cry..then the movie must have been a waste of time.
5. please be there. do not ask me to sing while we're talking on the phone or if we're in a public place..i hate it..i would really appreciate it if you watch me sing.. go to our practices, if you know any musical instrument..then jam with us. though i love singing, i am really nervous singing in front of others, please be there..inspire me. smile once in a while, it will encouge me. read my literature. have some time to read my works, i have hundreds of poems and essays. even books and novels. let me know what you think, give me some advice in which i will grow as a writer. tell me if i suck..or encourage me if im good.
6. don't disappoint me. don't invite me if you'll cancel it on the last minute. wag mo kong paasahin. i tried to commit suicide when i was in grade 4 because i was disappointed..don't let me do it again..hehehehe..
7. join me in wandering. i love long walks. i love walking on streets and eating street foods. make "tusok tusok" the fishball with me. let us sit in the corner of the street. don't think that we're squatting, we're not. i love it.
8. walk me home. i am nursing student, so i am used in hospital schedule such as 2pm-10pm. wait for me at the hospital entrance, then let's ride jeepney and go home together. if i am scheduled at a hospital near our house don't ask me to ride, walk me home. i enjoy having the moon on my head while walking.
9. let me influence you sometime. as what i have said earlier, it is ok if we are different but for a moment or two let me influence you. let me explain to you my principles. ask me if you don't understand. because you might love the things you dislike about me once you understand. join me in going to places that i love. let me cut your hair.. hate it then afterwards love it. ask for my favorite cds and listen to it. and so will i, i will join you in your world sometime.. let me know the things you know. share with me your insights, let us agree with each other. let us sing the same songs together..have photography together..fight our battles together. make me feel that we could be one.

11. let's speak tagalog. i love speaking deep tagalog. don't laugh at me, try it, it will be the language of your soul. and let's try english sometime..then korean..then spanish..let us have diversity even in our speech.
12. be crazy with me. let us wear halloween costume on christmas. let sing and dance on a crowded street. let us lay down on sidewalks. let us enjoy our youth and be youthful forever.
13. fix me. remind of the things im suppose to do. have authority upon me. let me know my time of sleep. if my head gets high..when my feet starts flying..bring me back to where i belong. when everything starts failing, and i am shattered..stay.
14. star gaze with me..
15. lastly, let my freedom stay with me..coz i'll fight for it.
